Pundi-Pundi Wang Thai

Petang tadi Wlily dapat call dari Consultant Paeditrician yang merawat anak saya si Syahmi tu. Alhamdulillah, keputusan blood test yang dilakukan untuk kali ketiga menunjukkan Syahmi beransur sihat dan katanya "there's nothing to worry about anymore." What a relieve!

So petang tadi, Wlily buat lah Pundi Wang Thai untuk anak Wlily tu... Original recipe is from Chef Wan's "Sedapnyaa.." book. Untuk inti, Wlily guna apa yang ada dalam peti ais tu je. The original recipe requires the ingredients stated below.





I have to make these again tomorrow, sebab yang tadi tak cukup..semua nak lagi!!

Bahan2 :

1/4 cawan minyak masak + minyak masak untuk menggoreng terendam

4 ulas bawang putih, dikupas dan dicincang halus halus

200 gram isi ayam, di dadu kecil2

2 sudu besar sos tiram

1 sudu teh kicap cair

1/2 sudu teh kicap cair

1/2 sudu teh lada putih serbuk

1/2 sudu teh minyak bijan

6 kuntum cendawan cina, direndam dengan air panas dan dihiris nipis-nipis

6 biji sengkuang cina, dikupas dan didadu kecil kecil (Wlily tak letak sebab tak ada stok ..)

200 gram udang yang kecil, di buang kulit dan urat

55 gram suun, direndam dan tuskan

2 tangkai daun bawang dihiris nipis

1 sudu teh tepung jagung di bancuh dengan 1 sudu besar air

20 keping kulit popia 10cm x 10 cm (Wlily guna yang saiz besar tu, and letak isi banyak sket..senang nak buat bunga kat atas tu pun..)

10-12 tangkai daun bawang kering (Wlilu guna daun kucai, senang sikit nak ikat..)

Cara Membuat:

1. Untuk membuat intinya, panaskan 1/4 cawan minyak masak dalam kuali dan tumis bawang putih, ayam dan sos tiram, kicap cair, lada putih dan minyak bijan. Kacau sehingga ayam empuk. Masukkan cendawan dan sengkuang cina serta udang dan masak selama 1 minit sahaja.

2. Campur suun dan daun bawang. Kacau rata rata. Tambah bancuhan tepung jagung dan masak sehingga pekat. Sejukkan.

3. Ambil 2 keping kulit popia dan bubuh 4 sudu teh inti di atasnya. Bawa hujung kulit popia ke tengah dan ikat dengan daun bawang kering.

Wlily guna kulit popia besar, dapat la 10 keping...padan pun tak cukup :)

Waterlily, hope your son is getting much mich better, ok? Especially after the dose of Pundi-pundi Wang Thai!! Now, now...jangan kata Thai, tart Portuguese pun I belum lepas lagi tau!! Dah pergi Carrefour berkali-kali and yesterday, in fact siap tanya staff in charged, itu pastry puff memang tak ada...sedih betul!! Nanti kena cari kat Tesco lah pulak. Hari tu pernah cari, tak ada. Maybe this time kena tanya jugak staff dia. Hmm...

Hi Ms Hart :)

Anak I seem ok today, and I sent him to school. You tau, first diagnose dia my son kena septicemia where the bacteria dah masuk ke otak! Tak ke kecoh kita di buat nya?! Air mata ni dah berbaldi turun dah...macam hujan. He was really in bad condition masa tu. Yesterday doctor dah clear kan dia and he is himself again. Ceria seperti biasa :)

On the puff pastry tu I think Kak Ezza dah dapat cari kut. Am not sure mana dia beli. Pundi2 wang Thai ni sedap, very crispy, ada masa nanti try la. I've been thinking to try your trifle, tapi tak jumpa swiss roll yang I suka pulak kat sini. Kalu susah susah, i think kena buat sendiri swiss roll tu..

Oh dear Waterlily...didn't know his condition was that bad. You have been very good at keeping this to yourself. I'm so sorry to hear about his condition. I hope he will continue to recover and be ceria sentiasa. And you too...

Hmm..resepi yg ni - sedap ditengok tapi sampai bila pun I don't think I will make it. Leceh nya!!!!! Still thanks for sharing the recipe. As usual you make it look so easy, even when I know it is not. :)

Thanks for the kind words. Syahmi dah ok. In three days, we went to see (or rather were asked to see) 6doctors - 4 specialist paeditriacians, 1 GP, 1 consultant paeditrician! The worst was on halloween night itself, we stayed up through the night at the hospital just looking at him and feeling so helpless..he was on drips, being poked here and there with needles. It was just terrible!

Anyway, MTT - This Pundi2 Wang Thai is definitely easy to make :) Its ok, one of these days, mana lah tau kalau so happen both of us are in KL - boleh janji to meet up, and isyaAllah I will make some for you (and ms hart too kalau dia turun KL, and kak ezza too kalau dia sudi berjumpa..:)

macam dengar nama kita di sebut ni..patut la asik tersedak jer..
Ms Hart,pastry puff cari kat Giant laa..Cepat cari nanti Nobita jumpa pulak!
Sakit apa tu Si Syahmi tu...tak faham akak laa...bakteria dah masuk otak! bunyik macam serious je ni...Dah buat check dengan another doc ke???

Actually pundi2 wang thai ni macam popia goreng biasa je (to me lah) cuma style gulung dia lain sikit. Yang ni kena buat style bunga bunga ...very crispy..good for tea time treats :)

Nasib baik mama tak ada masak you hidangkan atas meja. Kalau tidak, rasanya orang lain tengok je la. I'll be gobbling the whole lot! Hahaha...

Hope Syahmi dah sihat sepenuhnya dan membesar bagai juara... psst.. nama pun sama like my youngest. Tapi mine dah 13 years young la! Hehhee....

Syahmi is my 2nd son, my eldest tu Syafiq (sama tak nama?) - umur 11 tahun...

Masa Wlily buat Pundi2 ni ari tu, si Syahmi sempat tanya "ada wang ke dalam ni mommy?" ..issh..kalo inti nyer boleh tukar jadi duit, berlambak la Wlily buat. 10 keping memang sah tak cukup!! heheheh..
