Pengat Pisang, Onde-onde and Buah Melaka

These are our deserts for berbuka puasa today! I am sure all of you know how to whip up these things, so I will not be posting the recipes..!

The pics are also for the benefit of my dear hubby who's in Brussels at the moment. We had these just now Yang.

Pengat Pisang



Bahan - Bahan:

5 - 6 biji pisang - di buang kulit, dihiris

Segenggam Sagu - di basuh dan dituskan

2 - 3 sudu besar gula melaka (I used Tate Lyle Dark Brown Pure Cane Sugar) - tak suka guna yang berbuku.

I tin kecil santan pekat (kalau tak cukup pekat / lemak, boleh tambah lagi)

2 - 3 sudu besar gula pasir (rasakan manisnya)

Garam secukupnya (untuk menaikkan rasa lemak santan)

Sehelai daun pandan - diikat.

Cara Membuat :

1. Santan di masak bersama air secukup nya (around 2 cups or more depends on how much kuah you prefer but not too much sampai hilang pekat). Masukkan daun pandan dan gula melaka, kacau sehingga gula larut.

2. Masukkan sagu yang di tuskan tadi. Kacau lagi.

3. Setelah sagu agak kembang, masukkan pisang yang sudah di hiris. (kalau masuk pisang terlalu awal, ia akan hancur atau tersangatlah lembiknyer..).

4. Tabur gula secukup rasa (to complement rasa manis gula melaka) as well as secubit garam. Kacau hingga sebati.

5. Setelah adunan agak pekat, dan sagu kembang sepenuhnya (tak ada yang masih putih) - angkat dan hidangkan.

p/s Masak atas api yang sederhana besar - kalau tidak, nanti pecah santannya.

Ai-sayhhh....you beat me to this lah! Had pengat pisang last Sunday, dah ambik gambar (semestinya!! he he), tapi ingat nak kumpul2 with other dish pics dulu!! I was also thinking, nanti nak tulis, 'sure semorang tahu buat pengat ni...' Bagus lah 'connection' Abu Dhabi dgn Melaka, eh?!! ha ha..walaupun internetnya banyak hal, ek?!!

p/s If you are wondering why I delete comment kat atas tu - orang tu bagi salam, kata suka blog ni. Tapi tak boleh cakap omputeh sangat. Peluk cium dari Portugal katanya. I jawab ok, tak paham tengok gambar pun jadik la.. Bila I visit site dia sahur tadi, terkezzzut I, rupanya site dia ni berkenaan solely dengan s*x. I tak bukak pun site dia, I just tengok title of the site....uuuhh..tak berani!

Mengiurkan lah your pengat and kuih2! They looked soo nice and pretty.

Can share or not the pengat recipe? If I'm bad at masak lauk, I'm worst with sweets and kuih-muih. But I love pengat pisang and yours look so mouthwatering.

I dah masukkan resipi Pengat Pisang tu. Hey! We've the same taste buds! I pun suka pengat pisang ni..paling suka kalau di campur sedikit garam...mmm..yummy!

Hua ha ha...me too love the pengat pisang - hence the only pengat yang selalu dimasak!! And yes, you are right chef, I pun masukkan garam secubit sebab nenek I ajar macam tu. So I pun ikut aje. I think it will balance the sweet taste. Tu yg sodaaaaap tu! Hai, weekend ni ada kot pengat pisang kat Dhaka?!

p/s Abt that site tu, yikes to the max! Tak de kerja ke apa? Orang dtg sini nak masak le... Patut pun u padam. Pencemaran!!

You know what? That buah melaka I made..kelapa parut kat luar tu I pun letak secubit garam tau! I know some people dont normally do this, but I prefer to kukus the kelapa parut and letak sikit garam...supaya tak cepat basi...gitu le ade nyer..

p/s Ye lah that site tu...dia silap rumah agaknyer...
