Ikan Bakar Portugis

This was from Chef Wan's "Sedapnyaaaa..." recipe book. The original recipe requires Ikan Bawal Hitam (Black Pomphret), but I used Sea Breem instead.

Turned out great! Tasted great too! Try it!



Bahan - Bahan : (per the original recipe)

1 ekor (600 gram) ikan bawal, di bersih kan
1/4 cawan minyak masak
Air perahan dari 1/2 limau nipis (I used limau kasturi as you see above, sebab tak ada limau nipis)
1/2 sudu besar kicap pekat
Garam
Gula

Daun pisang

Bahan Di Kisar Halus:

4 tangkai cili merah
4 biji buah keras
8 ulas bawang merah, di kupas (I like them a lot, so I put 10 shallots)
1 batang serai ( dihiris halus)
1/2 sudu teh belacan
1 sudu besar cili serbuk (I didnt have this at home, so I used cili kering / dried chilli)
2 helai daun limau purut




Cara Membuat :

1. Panas minyak masak dan tumis bahan kisar di atas api kecil sehingga wangi. Tambah air limau nipis, kicap, garam dan gula.

2. Lumurkan seluruh bahagian ikan dengan sambal yang dimasak dan bungkus ikan dengan sekeping daun pisang.

3. Bakar di dalam ketukar yang sudah di panaskan pada 180C / 350F selama 20 minit atau panggang di atas bara api yang marak.

You have the book too? I have 3 of them! hahaha..one given by my SIL and I bought two..without realising the contents are the same (bookcover different)!
